The Fruit of Our Roots

Our Story

It all began for us in 1968 as a small body of believers located in Loveland, Ohio. In 2013, our pastor asked the Loveland board and elders to pray about planting a church in Hamilton. After much prayer, we began our search for a location. Soon, out of the Loveland body, Jesus is Amazing Church was born!

While searching for a building, Jesus revealed a diamond in the rough! There was a building in Lindenwald which had been there since 1929. First Church of God, had moved out of this community landmark, to its new location; the once well-kept pillar of the community had been sold and foreclosed upon. It was uninhabited and in complete disrepair.

The building had become a desolate wasteland: the windows had been broken out, the roofs leaked, heating and air equipment didn't work and graffiti was the newest paint. Filled with boldness and the love of Jesus Christ, a small group of believers believed that His love could change this community. Jesus is Amazing Church purchased the inner city building and the renovation began! Over 60 new windows, new roofs, new mechanical equipment, bathrooms, an updated gym, new carpet, new paint, reupholstered pews, new sound system, and projectors were used to bring the building back to life. Thank you, Jesus, He made a way!

Through prayer, hard work and donations we now have a better opportunity to love on the surrounding community and this is due, in part, to the blessing of our 23,000 square ft. facility, debt-free, thank you Jesus!

Jesus never stops working; this is simply just a building, but the church is the people!

Ezekiel 36:33-37

"Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it. Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock."

We Are A Lay Church

What does lay mean exactly?

It means we are just like you! No one here has gone to seminary or makes their living working at the church. We are simply dads and moms, sons, and daughters who have been changed by the love of Jesus Christ and we are committed to Jesus and his mission.

We are not professionals at doing church; the services are unique, heartfelt, and authentic! Our church, the people, strive to live out the mission of the gospel in their daily lives and bring “church” to their schools, workplaces, and homes.

On Sunday you can expect joyful and intimate worship to Jesus, a challenging message from our Pastor, and some sweet community.

This is the movement of the church- communing together to strengthen one another in this walk for the life that Jesus purchased for us. His church is US! It is the greatest movement the world has ever seen.

We would love to meet you in person!

You have a part in our story; we can't wait to see how Jesus writes you in
